Second largest attack Explosions have also been heard in the city of Kharkiv in the northeast. There, according to the Kyiv Independent, the authorities also say that critical infrastructure has been hit, and that the rockets came from the other side of the Russian border. This map shows the last places bombed with Russian rockets. The city of Zaporizhzhya in the south-eastern part of Ukraine has also been bombed, and the city is said to be without electricity. The city of Dnipro and several other regions are said to have also been attacked. The Ukrainian Air Force claims it has shot down 44 of a total of 55 missiles today. The most extensive Russian rocket attack against Ukraine took place on 10 October, when a total of 83 rockets were fired from the Russian side. Today’s attack is the second largest. Russian authorities expect that it will put pressure on the Ukrainian leaders, and that the number of refugees who want to travel to Western countries will increase, says Karlsen. But he does not believe that the Russians will succeed with their strategy, probably the Ukrainians will become even more stubborn and endure the difficulties. The officer also believes that the Russians’ intention with the bombing is to put pressure on Western countries, in the hope that support for Ukraine will eventually decrease as energy prices rise. People in Kyiv are used to using the metro as a bomb shelter. This is from earlier in October. Photo: STRINGER \/ Reuters – The Russian leaders probably hope that Western countries will one after the other enter into a compromise regarding the war in Ukraine, Karlsen points out. Furthermore, he says that he is convinced that Western leaders will do what is necessary to resist the Russian strategy. But he points out that the Russian defense now probably has to save on the most advanced missiles, because they are using increasingly older missiles.
\n

\n
ttn-69 <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Around 08:00 this morning there were several explosions in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
