Operations manager Victor Fenne-Jensen at the S\u00f8r-West police district says it was the employees on the platform who notified themselves.  At the same time, the police received a report about the Russian vessel lying at Ormen Lange.  Fenne-Jensen says the information has been forwarded to the appropriate police unit.
