The inaugural session of the <strong>National Disaster Risk Management Council (Conagerd)<\/strong> took place in Chorrillos, highlighting a comprehensive strategy to monitor and mitigate potential hazards.<\/p>\n<p>Key figures, including the President of the Council of Ministers Ernesto \u00c1lvarez and various state ministers, evaluated the nation&#8217;s preparedness for the anticipated impacts. They stressed the acceleration of preventive interventions and the enhancement of response mechanisms.<\/p>\n<h3>Real-Time Emergency Monitoring<\/h3>\n<p>One of the pivotal topics discussed was the deployment of the <strong>National Information System for Response and Rehabilitation (SIMPAD)<\/strong>. These declarations are crucial for mobilizing resources to lessen the impact of heavy rainfall without waiting for adverse effects to manifest.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, more than 100 districts have recently declared such states proactively, allowing for the swift implementation of necessary countermeasures.<\/p>\n<h2>Strategic Planning and Risk Mitigation<\/h2>\n<p>The Government is also working on the <strong>Multisector Plan for Earthquakes and Associated Hazards 2026-2030<\/strong>, dubbed the SIS Plan.
