With a few exceptions, you probably associated them with cheaper and lower-quality alternatives than their Western equivalents. We talk about everything: from smartphones to cars.<\/p>\n<p>But something changed during this time. The Asian giant has completely transformed its role in the global economy, causing a real earthquake in multiple industries. Today, consumers\u2014people like you or me\u2014already have a very different perception when we see a label that says \u201cMade in China.\u201d And the question is inevitable: how did they achieve it?<\/p>\n<h2>How China is Moving from Assembly to the Forefront<\/h2>\n<p>On the YouTube channel where formats such as <a rel=\"noopener, noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Kw1p7lbj-qs?si=2iXK1ZIOLBlVF6Sl\" target=\"_blank\">24\/7<\/a>, the series <a rel=\"noopener, noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/gPABzO5CIqY?si=2iWUeL3fb3ehyM-h\" target=\"_blank\">Domotize or Die Trying<\/a>, and <a rel=\"noopener, noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLH3mdhuA3a25U5y2oS2rSqaDeMkGTHtgj\" target=\"_blank\">Science and Apart<\/a> coexist, we launch a new <strong>Xataka Presents<\/strong> dedicated precisely to understanding that transformation. Some of them are obvious, such as the automotive industry. \u201c<strong>It manufactures 57% of electric car batteries<\/strong> in the world,\u201d says Ana, who delves into why control of the battery ecosystem is key to understanding the rise of BYD, OMODA, or JAECOO.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-asset-image article-asset-normal article-asset-center\">\n<div class=\"asset-content\">\n                   <img class=\"centro_sinmarco\" height=\"2252\" width=\"3982\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"  fetchpriority=\"high\"  src=\"https:\/\/teknomers.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Now-its-a-label-that-concerns-the-West.png\" alt=\"China Cars\"\/><br \/>\n   <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"China Cars\" class=\"centro_sinmarco\" src=\"https:\/\/teknomers.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Now-its-a-label-that-concerns-the-West.png\"\/>\n   <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>But the list does not end there. \u201cChina controls 90% of the world market for drones, both those used to record professional video and those used for agriculture or security.\u201d DJI, its flagship manufacturer, has also become a reference brand among content creators thanks to its cameras and microphones.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-asset-summary article-asset-normal article-asset-center\">\n<div class=\"asset-content\">\n<p>&#8220;China controls 90% of the global drone market.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The industrial muscle of the country led by Xi Jinping even extends to rail transport, where it dominates with the largest high-speed network in the world, and to materials, with examples as relevant as graphene. \u201c<strong>Furthermore, they consider it strategic<\/strong> so they invest millions in research for applications in medicine, energy, and electronics. China is still years away from its competitors in certain sectors, although its pace of progress seems unstoppable.
