We’ve also examined models with good value for a few hundred euros. Just because, it is not necessary to spend more than one thousand euros to keep your house clean.

Thanks to the maturity of the product and the democratization of technologies such as navigation and connectivity, you can now find these features in quite affordable models. Recently, Aldi has broken the mold with a vacuum robot priced under 100 euros. Without a doubt, it’s the cheapest model I’ve tried by far. However, it came packed with options like a remote control (my favorite method of operation) and spare parts. The base is small, only serving for charging, while the vacuum cleaner itself is quite compact .

This model features a classic design , being relatively small and lightweight. Its body is a somewhat rough plastic , which has shown superficial scratches after just a few days of use. One aspect to improve is that the buttons are touch-sensitive—this can be tricky if they don’t respond immediately. The buttons have an LED light that changes color, indicating its status.

Your Cleaning Arsenal: The specs indicate a power of 25W, but this doesn’t give much insight into its suction capacity . The lack of sound insulation means that it isn’t especially noisy, thus leading to assumptions about its real suction power. Upon testing, I found that it includes a double side brush, central brush, and a mop that can be attached and detached. Navigationally, it relies on bumpers and infrared sensors, lacking advanced features that higher-end models offer.

During my first use, I realized that it would occasionally need help navigating areas with obstacles like thick carpets. While it tackled thinner carpets reasonably well, it struggled on heavier fabrics. The most efficient way to clean proved to be room by room, after clearing away any cords, shoes, or unwanted obstacles.

App Control versus Remote Control: The accompanying app offers power control options, but I preferred the remote control for direct function access. The app lacks intuitiveness and often performs inadequately, which might deter users who prefer modern tech solutions. On the other hand, using the remote was straightforward, making it viable for people less familiar with tech.

Regarding maintenance, it’s relatively straightforward: you need to empty the dust bin, refill the mop water, and occasionally clean the roller. The 120-minute autonomy is best suited for smaller areas. I found its design efficient for basic cleaning, but it faltered significantly when faced with larger, more complex spaces.

In conclusion, for under 100 euros, the Aldi Robot is a practical choice for anyone needing a basic cleaning solution . While it certainly doesn’t replace a thorough cleaning, it works well for maintaining cleanliness in less cluttered areas. Save yourself the hassle of unnecessary app complications and embrace the simplicity of the remote control. If your cleaning needs are minimal, especially with limited obstacles, this vacuum cleaner could be worth considering. However, better options exist at higher price points if your budget allows.

General News – 2

The best aspirations in the market have passed through the Xataka Testing floor, from the most ambitious Dyson’s vacuum robots to the competitive Xiaomi or Dreame models .
