That&#8217;s what communications director Signy Svendsen says at the hospital.  She says that the hospital found a clear discrepancy between expected consumption and actual consumption.  The tablets are said to have disappeared from the intensive care unit.  There are around 100 employees who have access to the medicines. It is serious when such drugs disappear from medicine cabinets in hospitals.  It was F\u00e6drelandsvennen who first mentioned the matter.  According to Svendsen, the deviation must consist of at least 500 B preparations.  &#8211; These are not subject to the same strict requirements as A preparations.  There is nevertheless a need for control measures due to the preparations&#8217; strong effect and addiction potential, says Svendsen. She says that measures were initiated immediately.  &#8211; What is happening now is that the unit counts the stock of B preparations daily.  An assessment of the reasonableness of consumption is carried out based on what has been ordered from the hospital pharmacy and the patient base, she says.  It has been four months since the hospital reported the matter to the police.  So far, no one is suspected of having illegally acquired the drugs.  &#8211; We await the police&#8217;s investigation, says Svendsen.
