As many know, certain vehicles must remain protected at home during this day.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 1 --> <\/p>\n<p>This initiative, promoted by the \u00a0Mexico City Ministry of Environment\u00a0 ([Sedema](https:\/\/sedema.cdmx.gob.mx\/programas\/programa\/hoy-no-circula)), primarily aims to \u00a0decrease toxic emissions\u00a0 and improve the air quality we breathe.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 2 --><\/p>\n<p>The operation is straightforward: certain cars, especially those that produce more pollution, are restricted from circulating. Understanding the daily functioning of the program is simple, as illustrated in the images. However, on Saturdays, the rules change, and not all cars face the same limitations every week. Certain vehicles have the \u00a0freedom to circulate\u00a0 on some Saturdays, while on other occasions, they face prohibitions.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 4 --><\/p>\n<p>The categories for this day can be divided into:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Cars that can circulate every Saturday\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Cars that must rest every Saturday\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Cars that rest alternately each Saturday\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These limitations are in effect exclusively between \u00a05:00 AM and 10:00 PM\u00a0. In the evenings, the prohibition is lifted, allowing unrestricted traffic without the possibility of fines. It is crucial to check three elements before leaving home: the \u00a0calendar of the month\u00a0, the \u00a0hologram classification\u00a0 the vehicle carries, and the \u00a0last digit of its license plate\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 5 --><\/p>\n<p>As indicated, cars with \u00a0hologram 2\u00a0 maintain their current limitation every Saturday, while those with \u00a0holograms 0 and 00\u00a0 can circulate freely each week. Cars with \u00a0hologram 1\u00a0 will face interspersed limitations week after week.<\/p>\n<p><!-- BREAK 6 --><\/p>\n<p>On \u00a0Saturday, September 6, 2025\u00a0, being the first Saturday of the month (odd), vehicles with \u00a0license plates ending in odd numbers\u00a0 are obliged to stay off the roads.
