Mayor Gal\u00e1n responded solemnly, emphasizing the urgency and seriousness of the situation and directing competent authorities to ensure a thorough investigation. He remarked, “No commitment can be greater than that of protecting the life and integrity of children and adolescents. Each violent death of a minor signifies a failure for us as a society.”<\/p>\n

Regrettably, Harold’s body was found showing apparent signs of violence. On August 9, the family received alarming rumors that Harold’s life was in peril, indicated by a message circulating on social media. Although they alerted the authorities, one officer assured them that the area was under surveillance. However, the family’s worst fears materialized when they organized a vigil, subsequently discovering Harold\u2019s lifeless body just meters away from a purported safe zone.<\/p>\n

The discovery of his body unveiled harrowing details; \u00a0marks on his wrists indicated he might have been bound\u00a0, and he bore multiple gunshot wounds. “He had shots, but I can’t specify how many or where,” his mother lamented. This tragic event occurred just five days following his disappearance, leaving the family grappling with unending questions and seeking justice.<\/p>\n
