The UN Secretary General, \u00a0Ant\u00f3nio Guterres\u00a0, has alerted this Friday that Israel’s decision to expand the \u00a0offensive\u00a0 in the strip and take the city of \u00a0Gaza\u00a0 “marks a \u00a0dangerous escalation\u00a0” that will “put” even more in danger “civilians in the \u00a0Palestinian\u00a0 enclave, including \u00a0hostages\u00a0.”<\/p>\n

“(Guterres) is deeply alarmed by the decision of the \u00a0Israeli government\u00a0 about ‘taking control of the city of Gaza’. (…) could aggravate the already catastrophic consequences of millions of \u00a0Palestinians\u00a0,” said his attached spokesman, \u00a0Stephanie Tremblay\u00a0, in a statement.<\/p>\n
