Both companies still express interest, potentially eyeing goals for the 2026 tender<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Companies Making Headway<\/h2>\n

General Motors Argentina<\/strong> is set to import 1,250 units<\/strong> of the Captive Chevrolet PHEV<\/strong> and 500 units<\/strong> of the Chevrolet Spark EUV<\/strong>. Their initial requests remain intact and have now been supplemented with additional orders of 655 units<\/strong> of the Captive and another 500 Spark<\/strong> vehicles in the second tender. Consequently, a total of 1,905 Captiva<\/strong> and 1,000 Sparks<\/strong> will be imported this year.<\/p>\n

Renault Argentina<\/strong> initially ordered 77 Kwid E-Tech<\/strong> units but scaled back their allocation to 5 units<\/strong> in the first call, later reinstating the original 77<\/strong> with an additional 3,231<\/strong> units of the Renault Arkana Mild-Hybrid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ford Argentina<\/strong> set out to import 2,500 units<\/strong> of the Ford Territory Hybrid<\/strong> but faced production uncertainties. Ultimately, they reduced their request to 800 units<\/strong> and secured an additional 2,000 units<\/strong> for a total of 2,800 hybrid territories<\/strong> this year.<\/p>\n

The RALITOR SA<\/strong> group is entering the market with Shineray<\/strong> models. A total of 70 units<\/strong> will be allocated between a plug-in hybrid<\/strong> and a 100% electric vehicle<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Chery<\/strong>, focusing on electric options, is set to import 25 EQ1 EVs<\/strong> and 1,300 Tiggo 4 hybrids<\/strong>, while planning for an even broader reach with 3,950 Tiggo 7<\/strong> units.<\/p>\n
