The new playoff system is not even a year old, but has already been heavily criticized and wanted scrapped by both players and supporters. The strongest opposition is in the supporter community, something that was clearly seen when the supporter club “Bataljonen” crowned Brann as league champions when the basic game was finished – before the final game was due to start. Nevertheless, the playoff system seems to be here to stay – but it does not happen completely without changes. And then a lot of positive things are happening in Norwegian women’s football, with many large, established clubs on the men’s side starting to invest in the women’s side, he says. – If we give it another five, ten years, perhaps several of those clubs will be up and then we can perhaps have ten, fifteen good top league teams that operate professionally at the level we see Rosenborg, Brann, V\u00e5lerenga operating now. Then it will be a completely different total which can give us a better matching.
