Reportedly, the ranch was \u00a0looted\u00a0 before it could be handed over to the authorities. \u00a0Infobae Mexico\u00a0 confirmed that the \u00a0Attorney General of the State of Mexico (FGJEM)\u00a0 has opened an investigation following the theft of 60 \u00a0pigs\u00a0 that were intended for delivery to local community members under an early disposal program of confiscated goods. This shocking incident raises concerns about the influence and reach of criminal organizations within the region.<\/p>\n

The broader goal of \u00a0Operation Liberation\u00a0 was to address the rampant \u00a0extortion\u00a0 that has plagued local businesses and communities. Law enforcement agencies, including the \u00a0National Defense Secretariat\u00a0, the \u00a0Navy\u00a0, and the \u00a0National Guard\u00a0, worked collaboratively to target 14 municipalities in the area. During the operation, authorities executed arrest warrants against eight key figures in the organization, including Eli “N”, the owner of a company responsible for selling construction materials, and several others who played pivotal roles in the group’s financial and operational structure. Names such as Gonzalo “N”, Alicia “N”, and Jorge “N” are among those arrested for their roles in maintaining the network’s power.<\/p>\n

These arrests uncovered a chilling network of \u00a0extortion\u00a0, where threats of kidnapping and violence were commonplace. Communities lived in fear as the organization imposed fees for various goods and services, not out of legitimate business practices, but through sheer coercion. For instance, each kilogram of meat or wood sold would come with a quota that needed to be paid, leaving local businesses at a significant disadvantage.<\/p>\n
