Incident Sparks Security Concerns at Miraflores School<\/h2>\n

A subject disguised as a woman was intervened on Friday, July 18<\/b>, inside the Girls Bathroom of the Pur\u00edsima Mater College, located in block 9 of Jos\u00e9 G\u00e1lvez Avenue, in the Lima district of Miraflores. This alarming incident occurred during a ceremony celebrating national holidays, which was attended by parents and students of all school levels.<\/p>\n

Parental Alert<\/h2>\n

A mother, who was present at the school event, informed Successful News<\/i> that she received an alert via a WhatsApp group for parents. “They tell me that they had stopped a subject dressed as a woman,” she explained. The witness elaborated that the man had reportedly taken advantage of the large influx of families<\/b> to infiltrate the school during the ceremony, raising serious concerns about safety.<\/p>\n

Security Intervention<\/h2>\n

Reports among the parents suggested that the man was found near the girls’ bathroom. The specific circumstances remain under investigation, but it has been confirmed that he was apprehended by school personnel<\/b> and subsequently handed over to the authorities.<\/p>\n

The concerned mother voiced her alarm regarding security, stating, “My concern is: how many more schools will this happen to? What if this modus operandi also extends to shopping centers or places where there are girls? This has disturbed me a lot; such behavior cannot be tolerated.” Her comments underscore the rising fear among parents regarding safety in educational environments.<\/p>\n

Identity Revealed<\/h2>\n

According to a representative from the Municipality of Miraflores, the subject has been identified as C\u00e9sar Iv\u00e1n Araujo C\u00f3rdova, 46<\/b>. Notably, he had previously been held in March this year<\/b> for a similar incident, where he also dressed as a woman and disrupted public order on Arequipa Avenue.<\/p>\n

Mario Arata, the citizen security manager of the commune, elaborated that the intervention was initiated following an alert through District Chambers Monitoring Central. Thanks to the “Safe School” initiative, Serenazgo personnel were already in the vicinity, performing patrols. Upon confirming the situation, Araujo was turned over to the Police<\/b> and taken to the station for further proceedings.<\/p>\n

Authorities have taken into custody Araujo’s cell phone and the portfolio he carried.
