In an interview with *Blu Radio*, R\u00edos stated, \u201cThe UNGRD communicated today; it is no longer even timely, because one reaches emergencies from the zero to attend. After two days, they announce that tomorrow they will accompany us, which I do not see as pertinent.\u201d<\/p>\n

Furthermore, R\u00edos highlighted that monitoring systems from \u00a0SIATA\u00a0 and the \u00a0Metropolitan Area of the Aburr\u00e1 Valley\u00a0 indicated significant rainfall that exceeded soil saturation limits, exacerbating the risk for landslides.<\/p>\n

R\u00edos also stated that the \u00a0Government of Antioquia has significantly increased resources for emergency assistance\u00a0, responding to over \u00a0380 emergencies\u00a0 throughout the region. However, he cautioned that \u201cthe resources of the Government are not infinite,\u201d suggesting that this increased focus on emergency response could impact other initiatives.<\/p>\n

As for those affected by the slide, R\u00edos reassured that the evacuation of families was permanent. Collaborative efforts with the municipality aim to provide \u00a0lease subsidies\u00a0 and develop housing alternatives. \u201cThe idea is to provide a lease subsidy and, together with *Viva* and the municipality, deliver a final result for these families to have their own home,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

Currently, the emergency status in the Highland Vereda of \u00a0Bello\u00a0 remains active while authorities bolster efforts in search of the missing individuals. Additionally, warnings of potential new landslides due to continued rain are being disseminated.<\/p>\n

In a published statement, the \u00a0UNGRD\u00a0 announced they have deployed specialized personnel to assist with the emergency in Bello, sending a team of geologists, psychosocial professionals, and experts in temporary accommodations, damage assessment, and rescue operations.
