Kibar Holding’s esteemed \u00a0Founder and Honorary Chairman\u00a0, As\u0131m Kibar, has passed away at the age of \u00a092\u00a0. It has been reported that Kibar had been receiving treatment at a hospital for some time.<\/p>\n

In a statement from Kibar Holding, they expressed their deep sorrow, saying, \u201cWe are deeply saddened by the loss of our Founder and Honorary Chairman, As\u0131m Kibar. Our condolences go out to everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

GOING ON HIS FINAL JOURNEY TOMORROW<\/h2>\n

The funeral of As\u0131m Kibar is set to take place on \u00a0June 8\u00a0, on a Sunday, at the \u00a0Barbaros Hayrettin Pa\u015fa Mosque\u00a0. Following the afternoon prayer, his body will be interred at the family graveyard in \u00a0Zincirlikuyu Cemetery\u00a0.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

MAJOR INVESTMENTS UNDER HIS BELT<\/h2>\n

As\u0131m Kibar was an influential figure in various sectors, having founded \u00a0Kibar Holding\u00a0 that made significant investments in \u00a0aluminum\u00a0, \u00a0automotive\u00a0, \u00a0food\u00a0, \u00a0real estate\u00a0, and \u00a0energy\u00a0. His contributions were not limited to commercial enterprises; he also spearheaded numerous \u00a0social responsibility projects\u00a0 in the fields of \u00a0healthcare\u00a0 and \u00a0education\u00a0.<\/p>\n

Kibar has also penned an autobiography titled \u00a0“Trust is the Most Valuable Asset”\u00a0, reflecting on his life and values.<\/p>\n

WHO WAS ASIM KIBAR?<\/h2>\n

Born in \u00a01933 in Kayseri\u00a0, As\u0131m Kibar embarked on his business journey at the young age of \u00a018\u00a0, beginning with \u00a0wholesale textile trade\u00a0. Between \u00a01964 and 1970\u00a0, he served in various capacities at the \u00a0Central Anatolia Textile Factory\u00a0, ultimately becoming the \u00a0Chairman of the Board\u00a0.<\/p>\n

In \u00a01970\u00a0, he ventured into iron trading and established his family’s company in \u00a0Istanbul\u00a0, which has now blossomed into Kibar Holding\u2014a conglomerate with a total of \u00a024 subsidiaries\u00a0 under its umbrella.<\/p>\n

Kibar’s efforts were recognized throughout his career. He received numerous accolades, including being named \u00a0Businessman of the Year\u00a0 by \u00a0Siyaset Magazine\u00a0 in \u00a01997\u00a0, and by the \u00a0National Productivity Center\u00a0 in \u00a01998\u00a0. Additionally, he received special recognition from the \u00a0Kayseri Chamber of Industry\u00a0 in \u00a01998\u00a0 and again in \u00a01999\u00a0 from \u00a0Rotary Club Kocaeli\u00a0 and \u00a0Nokta Magazine\u00a0 as \u00a0Businessman of the Year\u00a0.<\/p>\n

In \u00a02002\u00a0, he was awarded the \u00a0Commandatore Order of Merit\u00a0 by the President of Italy, and in \u00a02016\u00a0, he received the \u00a0Honorary Award of Turkish Business World\u00a0 from \u00a0Capital\u00a0 and \u00a0Ekonomist\u00a0 magazines. Kibar was also a founding member of the \u00a0Community Volunteers Foundation\u00a0.<\/p>\n

From \u00a02014\u00a0 onwards, As\u0131m Kibar continued to serve within the \u00a0Kibar Group\u00a0 as its \u00a0Founder and Honorary Chairman\u00a0.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
