Welcome to T18: A New Chapter in French Television<\/h2>\n

On June 6, 2025<\/strong>, French television witnessed the birth of a new network: T18<\/strong>. The launch event was marked by enthusiasm, hosted by Laurent Ruquier<\/strong>, a well-known figure in the French media landscape. He opened the show with the words, "3, 2, 1, T18, c’est parti"<\/em>, signifying the start of T18’s journey. The executive team present during the launch included Val\u00e9rie Salomon<\/strong>, president of CMI France, Denis Olivennes<\/strong>, chairman of the supervisory board, and Christopher Baldelli<\/strong>, president of the channel.<\/p>\n

Earlier that day, in a significant shift, Gulli<\/strong> had vacated channel 18<\/strong>, making way for T18’s programming loop, which was abruptly launched at 7:45 PM<\/strong>. This technical maneuver marked the end of a decade-long wait for a new channel on the TNT (T\u00e9l\u00e9vision Num\u00e9rique Terrestre).<\/p>\n

As Ruquier settled into his role as the inaugural host, he expressed his excitement, saying: "Welcome to T18, I am the first to have the privilege of saying this."<\/em> Surrounded by Matthieu Croissandeau<\/strong> and Ava Djamshidi<\/strong>, he noted the long wait since a new channel graced French airwaves. The programming lineup features several exciting shows.
