But the challenge proved too great against Coco Gauff. <strong>Lo\u00efs Boisson lost<\/strong> in the semi-finals of Roland-Garros on Thursday, June 5, 2025, against the world number 2 (6-1, 6-2).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wall-content\">Coco Gauff will face <strong>Aryna Sabalenka<\/strong>, the world number 1, in the finals.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wall-content\">A Tough Battle Against Coco Gauff<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wall-content\">Trailing 4-0, Lo\u00efs Boisson managed to score her first point after nearly 25 minutes of American dominance. However, the Frenchwoman struggled to find her rhythm in the first set, ultimately succumbing to a score of 6-1 in just 35 minutes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wall-content\">In the second set, Lo\u00efs successfully won her serve, tying the score at one game apiece. Showing her fighting spirit, she finally entered the match, although her demeanor appeared more relaxed than what fans expect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wall-content\">Gauff showcased her phenomenal court coverage, returning every shot effortlessly while Boisson incurred several unforced errors. Even after breaking back and bringing the score to 2-3, Boisson could not sustain her momentum and eventually lost the match in 1 hour and 9 minutes.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wall-content\">The Incredible Journey of Lo\u00efs Boisson<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wall-content\"><strong>Coco Gauff<\/strong> will return to Court Philippe-Chatrier on Saturday, June 7, for her second Roland-Garros final. The first was in 2022 when she lost to Iga \u015awi\u0105tek.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wall-content\"><a href=\"https:\/\/actu.fr\/bourgogne-franche-comte\/dijon_21231\/qui-est-lois-boisson-cette-jeune-dijonnaise-qui-fait-sensation-a-roland-garros_62720108.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lo\u00efs Boisson<\/a>, however, has no reason to hang her head. She has become the <strong>fifth French player to reach the semi-finals<\/strong> at Roland-Garros since the beginning of the Open Era. Her name joins the ranks of Fran\u00e7oise D\u00fcrr, Brigitte Simon, Mary Pierce, and Marion Bartoli, the last of whom reached the semi-finals in 2011.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wall-content\">Regardless of the outcome, Lo\u00efs Boisson is set to rise dramatically in the WTA rankings, likely moving from her current 361st position to around 65th place.
