Since the beginning of the year, Mayotte has reported \u00a0560 confirmed cases\u00a0 of chikungunya, with \u00a0204\u00a0 occurring in just the week of May 19 to 25. The affected travelers, mostly infected by tiger mosquitoes, returned primarily from destination hotspots: \u00a0La R\u00e9union\u00a0 (22 cases), \u00a0Mauritius\u00a0 (4), and \u00a0Madagascar\u00a0 (1).<\/p>\n
