We have consistently emphasized the need for social consensus through a commission in the Assembly. We hope for the contributions of the \u00a0Republican People’s Party\u00a0 (CHP) in this endeavor. Our goal is to tackle one of Turkey’s most significant problems: the issue of terrorism. We deliberated on potential steps to eliminate this menace.” <\/p>\n<h2>“THE WORKING CONDITIONALS OF THE COMMISSION ARE CRUCIAL”<\/h2>\nIn his remarks, \u00d6zg\u00fcr \u00d6zel noted, “We take the issues of a \u00a0terror-free\u00a0 and \u00a0democratic Turkey\u00a0 extremely seriously. We have consistently emphasized the need for social consensus through a commission in the Assembly. I made this point repeatedly in my speeches starting from October.” He expressed how significant it is to move towards establishing such a commission in the TBMM.<\/p>\n“However, the \u00a0composition\u00a0 and the \u00a0operational methods\u00a0 of the commission will be critical,” \u00d6zel continued. “It’s essential to secure a broad consensus on these points. We will share our perspectives and ideas with the Chair. As we proceed, we will communicate our positions as a party on this matter. The \u00a0parliament\u00a0 is the appropriate setting to discuss these issues; no successful process can proceed without involvement from the Assembly. We emphasize the crucial role the TBMM must play in this matter.” <\/p>\n\u00d6zel concluded with a call to ensure that the opinions of all stakeholders, particularly the families of martyrs, veterans, and those affected by terrorism, are included as part of the social consensus in this process. “We shared these views with the President.
