A guard instead accompanied the man to the bus. Charged with robbery and abduction The 81-year-old had been sent to the emergency room by his GP. When the daughters could not get hold of their father, they thought he had been admitted to the hospital. On Saturday they contacted the hospital to find out which ward the father was admitted to. Then they learned that he had been discharged the night before. – When he was not at home, we called the police. They took action right away. The police quickly found out that the 81-year-old’s bank card had been used and through surveillance images they found two men. They are charged with robbery, abduction and having left a person in a helpless state. Both men deny criminal responsibility. – Should have been notified Late on Saturday evening, the police found the 81-year-old walking on the E18 near Sem in T\u00f8nsberg. By then a day had passed since he left the hospital. He was then heavily dressed and wearing clothes that were not his own. – He was confused and did not remember what had happened, the daughters say. The 81-year-old was admitted to hospital again after the incident, and according to his daughters, he is affected by what he has experienced. Out of respect for their father, the daughters do not want to be named, but are concerned that the matter is brought to light. – We expect him to be safe in the hospital, but they did not inform us that he was discharged. If they did, we would get him. The hospital in Vestfold apologizes that the relatives have experienced poor communication.
