Dreyer & Reinbold Racing has been a significant presence in the \u00a0INDYCAR\u00a0 garage since its inception in 1999. Founded by \u00a0Dennis Reinbold\u00a0, an Indianapolis car dealer, the team has managed to remain a fixture in the racing world, particularly on one of its biggest days: the \u00a0Indianapolis 500\u00a0. Although the team has not competed in a full INDYCAR season since 2012, it has adapted to a part-time schedule, focusing primarily on the Indianapolis 500 since 2014, with few exceptions.<\/p>\n

\u201cDennis is a pure racer,\u201d Cusick observed. \u201cHe\u2019s a really smart race strategist, he knows when to make the right moves at the right time and he has a team with a lot of heart. \u201cIndy is Indy,\u201d Hunter-Reay remarked. \u201cFrom a driving perspective, Indy is so unique, so there\u2019s nothing different on that side of it for me. It\u2019s more just trying to get that large group of people together and making sure that everything is as you need it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hunter-Reay elaborated, saying, \u201cIt\u2019s a lot to get on top of because you have a massive group of people coming together that need to operate and execute as efficiently as possible in a very short amount of time. There\u2019s a lot to be on top of here at Indy, which comes more naturally when you\u2019re running the whole season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cusick expressed optimism regarding the partnership and the spirit of teamwork that permeates through both the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing and Cusick Motorsports teams, anticipating another successful Indy 500. \u201cI expect us to move to the front,\u201d he stated. “We\u2019ve got a couple of fast race cars and a great crew that knows how to support them. Last year, we led the race for 22 laps, so I\u2019d love to do that again\u2014especially the last lap.\u201d<\/p>\n
