When a new race was reported on Friday this week, several people thought it was naturally triggered. It turned out not to vote. – You get shaken. Then you hear the laughter on the movie too. Mayor of Moskenes Hanna Sverdrup, where the popular tourist destination Reinebringen lies, has seen the video where several people laugh as they throw a large stone down the steep mountain side. On the way down, the stone hits a mountain shelf, and several larger stones loosen. – Oh! Okay, it wasn’t good. Oh, oi, says one of the people before it sounds laughter again. – I learned earlier today that there should have been work on the power lines in the area that the crash went. So you are completely shocked by this, says the mayor. It was Lofotposten who first reported the incident. Throwed stones from Reinebringen: – In the worst case scenario, it could have gone life – could have gone life the mountain has been the scene of several fatalities and rescue operations, and outside the season the municipality warns against traveling up the mountain. The municipality cannot close the mountain or refuse people to go up. But they try to keep people away. On May 1, the chain that blocks the Sherpatrappa up to the Reinebringen was removed, and the STI guards are starting this year’s season until September 30 to make the trip up safer. After the crash in February, a Rasvoll was made to stop any new races. The stones thrown off the tour seem to have stopped in the ramparts. Sverdrup says it is around 300-400 meters down from where the stones were thrown. Responds: Mayor of Moskenes, Hanna Sverdrup, is shaken over the stone throwing from Reinebringen. Photo: Vilde Bratland Erikstad / news – Had it not been for Rasvollen … It could hit people who walked, cars, the school bus. At worst, it could have gone life. Jon Roger Sørvang is an emergency guard in the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. He confirms to news that there has been no stone in the roadway. – We were told on Friday that there was something going on there, so I sent the contractor out to check. But we have a grid, so the stones have not come down completely. Sørvang does not like the actions of the tour people. – This is a vulnerable area, so it just hurts. It is not good, they have not thought well enough. POPULAR: Reinebringen is a very popular hiking destination for locals and tourists visiting Reine in Lofoten. Photo: Kasper Holgersen Police are investigating the case several contacted the police after the crash, but no reported the incident. Police Attorney Torbjørn Sandbu says that on the basis of the video they have created a case on their own initiative. – We will try to get in touch with those involved, and will investigate if there is something punishable here. How serious are you watching the video? – A video just gives an impression of the situation. We don’t have the whole picture, so I don’t want to say anything about it. But the reason why you create a case is that there can be damage potential.
