This confirms Daniel Bjarmann Simonsen, who is the director of communications and business policy in Nova Sea to news. – It is with grief that we announce that part owner in Nova Sea H\u00e5kon Vigner Lindal Olaisen, has died in a car accident in Poland, this morning. Several in the company knew H\u00e5kon. Our thoughts go to the family, Simonsen writes in a message. Photo: Nova Sea Olaisen was born in 1982 and was the youngest children of Steinar Olaisen and Mona Lindal. He is the brother of Aino Olaisen and Maria Olaisen. On Capital’s overview of the 400 richest in Norway, published in September 2024, H\u00e5kon Vigner Lindal Olaisen was listed in a split 305 space with the sisters Aino and Maria. Meland withdrew after a few years and established Lovund Salmon, while Olaisen formed the company Lovund Sj\u00f8produkt. The original Nova Sea was established in 1985. Initially, the production of packing and filleting of saithe, the production of white salmon, slaughter and packaging, as well as export of salmon consisted. Today, the company is one of the largest Northern Norwegian manufacturer of farmed salmon with nearly 30 production bases along the Helgeland coast. Until January 30, the company was owned by Vigner Olaisen (52 percent), Mowi (43 percent) and other players (5 percent). After buying the shares in Vigner Olaisen for NOK 7.4 billion, Mowi now owns 95 percent of Nova Sea. The acquisition is distributed as follows: 30 percent in Mowi shares and 70 percent in cash. Recently, the family company Nova Sea was sold to one of the world’s largest aquaculture company, Mowi AS. MOWI was out with NOK 7.4 billion in the acquisition.
