In recent years, it has become increasingly tough for first -time buyers to enter the housing market. Especially in Oslo, Akershus and in the big cities. It was one of the first things he decided to take on the moving car. He thrives on the apartment complex on \u00c5ssiden in Drammen. He lives on the ground floor and quickly gets down to the river, where he walks a lot. Until the apartment purchase he had lived in one place all his life: in a semi -detached house at the hospital, which he later inherited. – I wanted to get into an apartment and thought about it for a few years. But I couldn’t do all the work of clearing, throwing and moving. – And then I discovered the ad for this apartment and called the broker. Then I had never been on a view before. He liked what he saw and made a bid for the price quote – and got it for it. Heavy decrease The figures from NBBL (Norwegian Boligbyggelags National Association) show that there has been a low proportion of the dwellings The typical first -time buyer can now afford in some of the largest municipalities: – In Oslo and all the surrounding municipalities we measure, especially in Akershus county, it has become much more difficult over time to buy their first home, says Hilde Midsem, chief economist at NBBL. She points out that housing construction has not followed the relocation and demand. – This will get worse in the next few years, in light of today’s very low housing construction. It is high time to implement targeted measures, says Midsem. Increased differences In Northern Norway as well, there are pressure areas that worry. The first home index shows that access to housing for young buyers in Troms\u00f8 is 7.7 per cent. There, too, the pace of housing construction has fallen a lot in recent years, according to NBBL. “The first home index shows how even those who have financing, often with the help of parents, still face a market where only a few percent of the homes are achievable in some places,” says B\u00e5rd Folke Fredriksen, CEO of NBBL. Now we risk the housing market in some places becoming an engine for increased differences. First – and last – buy the biggest difference for Jan in Drammen, was less space. He had to get rid of some things, but has what he needs on his 95 square meters. – The best part was that I did not have to buy a paint brush, I could move right in, he says. It’s not that simple for everyone. – I get with me on the news that it is hopeless for young people to buy for the time.
