In full modernization of its range but potentially slowed down by the image of its boss, Elon Musk, close to President Donald Trump, the American manufacturer of electric cars has seen its registrations drop by 44 % in France since the beginning of 2025, with 7,556 vehicles sold.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph  \">The new cars market was a decline of 5.64 %, less than the previous month ( &#8211; 14.5 %), with 139,000 cars registered, according to figures published Tuesday, April 29 by the Automobile Platform (PFA).<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"article__sub-title\">&#8220;The French consume less&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph  \"><em>&#8220;We are on a worrying market level which is very low compared to the pre-Cavid period&#8221;<\/em>commented to the France-Presse agency, Nicolas Le Bigot, interim managing director of the PFA. <em>\u201cIn a context of economic uncertainty, the French consume less, they save. All this is amplified by uncertainties linked to the trade war that Trump has delivered to all the countries of the planet, with customs duties which generate important macroeconomic impacts on the global financial level and which also affect the confidence of households &#8220;<\/em>he adds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph  \"><em>&#8220;All drops, and in this declining set, we have a market share of electric vehicles which stagnates at around 18 %&#8221;<\/em>he continued.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph  \">The withdrawal touches in particular Stellantis ( &#8211; 12 % over a year). The Renault group takes up colors (+ 2 %) and exceeds Stellantis in terms of volume (39,000 cars registered in April, against 33,786).
