The election of a fourth liberal government in a row since 2015, however, seemed impossible four months ago, in view of the polls which gave the liberals largely losing to the Conservative Party. But the resignation of the former prime minister, Justin Trudeau, and the omnipresence of the American president, Donald Trump, in the public debate allowed an inversion of the curves in favor of the Liberal camp.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph  \">At 5:30 a.m., the estimates provided that more than 160 liberal deputies (out of 343) will take place in the Canadian House of Commons, against more than 140 for the Conservatives. The gap has been considerably reduced at the end of the evening to draw a narrow victory, torn in particular thanks to the seats obtained in Quebec.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph  \">If the liberals do not manage, at the end of the night, to obtain an absolute majority, this means that the government of Mark Carney will have to seek the support of at least another party to have its laws adopted. <em>&#8220;Canadians expect what we work together&#8221;<\/em>commented at the end of the evening the ex-liberal minister of immigration Marc Miller, at the microphone of Radio-Canada.<\/p>\n<p class=\"reading-mode-only \"><strong>You have 79.18% of this article to read.
