The spirit brand sits high on the artist\u2019s list of backstage and festival essentials (the orange flavor is his favorite), along with trail mix (\u201cobviously you\u2019ve gotta have the M&M\u2019s in there\u201d), his Wrangler jeans<\/a> (\u201cI don\u2019t wear anything other than Wrangler\u201d), a pair of boots, a loose button-down, and a hat. \u201cI\u2019m a simple dude, I don\u2019t really need much,\u201d he adds. And for Stagecoach, \u201ca bandana\u2018s probably going to be necessary because of all the dust.\u201d<\/p>\n

Like \u201cAustin\u201d singer Dasha, who will also be making her Stagecoach debut this weekend, Wetmore\u2019s music initially blew up on social media, first with \u201cWine Into Whiskey\u201d and then with \u201cWind Up Missin\u2019 You,\u201d which doubled as his country radio debut single. \u201cI feel like everything happened so fast last year that nobody really got the chance to know me or why I am the way I am,\u201d he explains. \u201cThis is my chance to kind of scratch the surface on a lot of those things and tell my truths.\u201d<\/p>\n

Friday\u2019s release contains 19 tracks: \u201cYou know, I had a lot to say, so I couldn\u2019t do it in anything less than [that].\u201d When asked about his most-loved song of the 19, the singer couldn\u2019t pick just one: \u201cAll of them\u2026 they\u2019re all my babies.\u201d However, there are a few that he\u2019s especially excited for fans to hear. <\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Bad Luck Looks Good on Me\u2019 is probably one of my favorites. That song actually took like eight months to write\u2026 It was just one of those songs that, it wasn\u2019t right, it wasn\u2019t right, and we kept going back and forth and then finally got to a spot where I was like, \u2018This is it, let\u2019s roll with it.’\u201d Other standouts for Wetmore include the album\u2019s title track \u201cWhat Not To\u201d and \u201cWhiskey Again,\u201d both of which dive deeper \u201cinside of who I am and where I come from,\u201d he tells THR<\/em>.<\/p>\n
