In an atmosphere made electrical by provocations of power, hundreds of thousands of Serbs &#8211; 100,000 according to the police, around 300,000 according to an independent counting organization &#8211; swept through the streets of their capital to ask <em>&#8221; justice &#8221; <\/em>In the fifth month of what is the most powerful and the longest anti -corruption protest movement never seen in this Balkan country, with only 6.6 million inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph \"><em>&#8220;We will no longer allow corruption to endanger the life of anyone, as happened in Novi Sad where she left fifteen dead&#8221;<\/em>launched a student speaker under the acclaiming of the huge crowd referring to the collapse of the awning at the country&#8217;s second city. Occurred on 1<sup>er<\/sup> November 2024 in an infrastructure which had just been renovated, this drama sparked a wave of anger which first spread in universities before spreading to all of society.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph \">The demonstration on Saturday recalls the extent of those of the 1990s who led to the fall of the former dictator Slobodan Milosevic, in 2000. All day, the students, joined by Serbs of all ages, occupied the streets of Belgrade in an atmosphere which remained very largely peaceful, despite provocations carried out by nervies of power hably and hidden behind masks. The students also preferred to decree the dissolution of the demonstration in an early manner after the use of a mysterious sound weapon which created a brief panic movement during the moment of silent meditation dedicated to the victims of Novi Sad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"reading-mode-only \"><strong>You have 74.42% of this article to read.
