In old video kiosk days, it might have been said that “Interesters are the worst” meets “Evil Dead” on the film’s front page, but this lightweight is not on par with his sources of inspiration. Dinner Grass: A living similar to the appetite, but it is not very scary. Photo: MAX This is a pre-liable genre mix after the simplest Hollywood recipe. It quickly gets bored for a film -wide audience, but charismatic stars like Brian Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Parker Posey give a little color and life to this gray stone of a formula film. Significant family scores Kj\u00e6rastane Rohan (Nik Dodani) and Josh (Brandon Flynn) have rented a house in the countryside for the extended family to meet for the first time. There are quickly well -known frictions between a stiff and self -high -time parent couple, and a very jovial parent couple. PARENTS: Sharon (Edie Falco) and Frank (Brian Cox) are a pretty self -solid married couple. Photo: MAX entanglements start with an unfortunate intake of drugs. Then everything escalates when an insfectful demon mixes in the family quarrel. As a horror comedy, the film plays with projectile vomiting, flying fathers and vivid corpses, all performed with more glimpses in the eye than visual bravur. As a comedy comedy, the movie plays with toilet visits, sex sounds and false courtesy – and unfortunately it oozes collecting bands of almost the whole jokes. Borrowers from “Succession” and “Friends for Life” there is a lot of TV charts throwing shine over this movie. Brian Cox (“Succession”), Lisa Kudrow (“Friends for Life”), Parker Posey (“The White Lotus”), Edie Falco (“The Sopranos”) and Dean Norris (“Breaking Bad”) are a bit of a bunch to make in -laws. Flat romance: Josh (Brandon Flynn) and Rohan (Nik Dodani) do not create much romantic chemistry on the screen. Photo: Max director Craig Johnson also leans directly on two of these TV successes, with mixed luck. Brian Cox channels his inner Logan Roy (“Succession”) as the demon takes control, and toxic ignorance of the Gulp paste out of old father’s rough jaw. Cox is so devilishly good at playing variations of “bad guy”, that here it swings a bit of the in -laws. In the role of the good -loin Lisa Lisa Kudrow Vimsete Facts from SI Signature College Phoebe Buffay. Here, the associations are guided directly to “Friends for Life” nostalgia, with nods for taxis and omnestries. Unfortunately, it illustrates just how little they have given Kudrow to play in this movie. It is a good tradition for well -placed hommacer, parody and pop -cultural hints in foolish horror, but they should preferably add something. In “The Parenting” there are too many pale imitations, easy solutions and toothless references.
