With its wooden benches painted in green, its garden alleys, its artificial cave gargling with water and its small rocking chalet, it feels like in Paris, in a reduced portion of the Buttes-Chaumont.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--lf\">This is not a hallucination: this bucolic landscape is located in the heart of the Burgundian countryside, about forty kilometers from Dijon. But the resemblance to the park of 19<sup>e<\/sup> Arrondissement of the capital is not fortuitous: in addition to belonging to the city of Paris, the two green spaces were created at the same time, the 1860s, under the emperor Napoleon III, and by the same gardener, Jean-Pierre Barillet-Deschamps (1824-1873), which gave the green space of the C\u00f4te-d&#8217;Or its false Parisian Square sings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--lf\">On the decisive impulse of Baron Haussmann, prefect of the department of Seine, the city of Paris thus acquired in 1864 the Burgundy valley of almost 2 hectares for its symbolic value: seven sources deaf here in concert to train below a small stream which will become a little further the second largest river in France, La Seine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"reading-mode-only \"><strong>You have 82.62% of this article to read.
