Frenchman Lucas Chanavat followed closest, while the happiest of the day was probably Erik Valnes in third place. Last weekend, Valnes had to break the joint start with a change of skis at Lillehamme due to heart rhythm disturbances. Less than a week later, he delivered the podium, which probably also secured him a WC ticket to Trondheim. &#8211; Very good. We can probably say that I have been knocked into the WC place now, says Valnes himself to news. However, the problems from last weekend have not worried him. &#8211; I have thought terribly little about it. It&#8217;s happened in training before, and I&#8217;m used to it happening occasionally, a bit randomly. But of course it&#8217;s good to go to good ski races, says Valnes. With fourth place in today&#8217;s sprint, World Cup leader Harald \u00d8stberg Amundsen also entered the fight for a place on the sprint team in the WC. Amundsen has a dream of walking all six distances in Trondheim.
