We expect the first cut in the key interest rate to come at the beginning of next year and that there will be five interest rate cuts of 0.25 percentage points during 2025, says research leader Thomas von Brasch at SSB. If Statistics Norway&#8217;s forecasts are correct, there are good prospects for the Norwegian economy, says chief economist Kyrre M. Knudsen at SpareBank 1 S\u00f8r-Norge. &#8211; Statistics Norway draws a dream scenario for the Norwegian economy, both that growth picks up, unemployment remains fairly low, they expect good real wage growth, but also that inflation comes down and approaches the target.
