Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z, is mentioned as one of the so far unknown names in the abuse cases brought against Sean “Diddy” Combs. In a civil lawsuit, Carter is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl. The assault is said to have occurred in 2000, at a party following the MTV Video Music Awards, according to NBC. In a statement, Carter strongly distanced himself from the debts. – These allegations are so horrific that I ask you to file a complaint, not go to civil action. According to the lawsuit, the woman’s lawyer should have contacted Carter to get “mediation to resolve the matter”, writes CNN. In a response to the lawyer, Carter calls the request an attempt at blackmail. – Now my wife and I have to sit down with the children, one of them is at an age where her friends will see this in the media, and tell about the evil and greed of some people, writes Carter. CNN has also contacted Carter’s wife Beyonc\u00e9 Knowles for comment, without success. According to the channel, Jay-Z is the first celebrity to be blamed for sexual assault in connection with “Diddy”. Combs denies all debts Sean “Diddy” Combs is charged by federal authorities with sexual assault, bodily harm and extortion. He blames the prosecution for running a “sex offender empire”. Combs was arrested in New York on 16 September. The rapper has denied all charges and said he is innocent. Combs will probably have to sit in custody until May 2025. He has rejected all debts against him. At the same time, Combs faces several civil lawsuits. He has accused more than 130 people of, among other things, rape, sexual assault and sexual exploitation. Four times “Diddy” has asked to be released from custody on bail, and just as many times he has been refused.
