Worried about the development of artificial intelligence? Ask your questions to the country’s leading AI experts – news Buskerud – Local news, TV and radio

news Buskerud and Laagendalsposten have, in connection with the technology festival Kongsberg Agenda, teamed up to do a survey about Artificial Intelligence (AI). In the survey, which was answered by 1,000 men and women aged 18–99, there is both skepticism and uncertainty related to the topic. These are three main points that emerged from the survey: 40 per cent of the participants in the survey say they know little or very little about AI. 43 percent of the respondents are slightly or very pessimistic regarding the development of AI. Almost half of those aged 30–39 fell under this category. 32 percent of the respondents answered that AI might take over the world and make us humans redundant somewhere in the future. Here, too, there was the largest percentage of people aged 30–39. The skepticism was probably as great for young people aged 18–29 as for the other age groups. The collection was made among a nationally representative committee in the Norstat panel. It was carried out from 4–11 June. The margin of error is between 1.4 and 3.1 percentage points.
