13 December 2022 at 12:18 Woman sentenced to prison after dog attack A woman has been sentenced to six months in prison after one of her dogs killed her one and a half year old grandson. The verdict was handed down in the Østre Innlandet district court and is in accordance with the prosecutor’s claim. The incident happened in Brumunddal on 5 June 2021, when the boy was visiting his grandmother. The grandmother was indicted in May for negligently causing the death of another. The woman pleaded not guilty in court. Both the rottweiler that killed the boy and another dog were euthanized later that day. In addition to the prison sentence, the woman has been ordered to pay compensation of NOK 170,000 to the boy’s mother.
