Now the police confirm that it is her husband who was arrested at the scene. He is charged with murder. The accused and the deceased are a married couple in their 70s. It was the accused themselves who reported the incident. For health reasons, he has not been able to give a statement as of now, the police say. – It is still early in the investigation and we are working to map the course of events and background. We cannot therefore release more information at the present time, says police attorney Benedicte Granrud. The police went to the address in the center of Halden following a report of a serious incident of violence.
