Witnessed a dramatic accident in Hamar – news Innlandet – Local news, TV and radio

A total of 13 people were involved in the traffic accident in the center of Hamar at 12.40 on Thursday. The police write this in a press release. Eight people including a bus driver, a driver of another bus, a taxi driver and three people on the pavement were involved in the accident. After everyone was examined by the healthcare system, one person has been categorized as injured. The entrance to a Rema store and a restaurant suffered facade damage, and two blocks are now closed off. This is confirmed by Merete Hjertø, head of operations at the police. – There were three people on the pavement who had to throw themselves away to avoid being hit. Chief of Staff Pål Erik Teigen of the police in Hamar characterizes the accident as serious. – We have had a traffic accident in the city center with lots of people. It could have been worse. JUMPED AWAY: Operations leader Merete Hjertø says that people had to jump away from the vehicles to avoid being hit. It looks dramatic at the scene. It spans two quarters. – It looks quite violent. We are glad it went so well with everyone, says Teigen. The police still have no theories as to what happened. – We are still carrying out investigations on the spot, says Teigen. He hopes that the police will get more clarity on the matter during the evening, and they have no evidence that it was intentional. There were eight people in the bus. Witnesses who have not already been in contact with the police are asked to contact the police on 02800. The police also want those who have video or photos from the incident to get in touch.
