The recall takes place following the discovery of salmonella in the product. – The pig ears are sold in a number of small pet shops throughout the country. The stores have been notified, and the lot will be taken out of circulation in the stores, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority warns in a press release. The withdrawal concerns the product Grisöron from the importer Imazo AS with brand number 696.0050. The item has a best-before date of 30 December 2024. If you have bought the pig ears, you can contact the stores for a possible return to the store. If dogs ingest salmonella bacteria, they can become ill. Symptoms can vary, one symptom is, among other things, diarrhea and fever. Some dogs do not show any clinical symptoms. (NTB)
