In the IA negotiations, the employers’ side proposes in a letter to the Ministry of Labor and Inclusion to use national mediators to help them further in what they call demanding negotiations. They are also willing to leave the sick pay scheme unchanged for up to 18 months, provided that a knowledge gathering about sickness absence is given a mandate they can accept. The negotiations on a new IA agreement to reduce sickness absence have been ongoing since September. Today’s IA agreement expires at New Year’s.
