From May 10 to 15, the Strasbourg National Theater (TNS) opens its doors to the stand-up, with the TNS Comedy Club. This unprecedented initiative, wanted by the director of this theatrical institution, Caroline Guiela Nguyen, marks an important step in the recognition of this art of speech and valve, often considered against a sub-genre by theater. The program, composed in collaboration with Madame Sarfati’s team, the Parisian Comedy Club created by the humorist Fary, offers an eclectic sample of the current stand-up scene. Laura Domenge, Panayotis Pascot and Merwane Benlazar will present their show. The Plato, Comedy Club Strasbourg, will organize an evening combining emerging and confirmed artists. Finally, students from the TNS school who followed a module dedicated to the writing of the stand-up will run out of their jokes in front of the public.
This is the first time that stand-ups will have occurred on a public theater stage. What does this first experience represent for each of you?
