10 May 2023 at 07:14 Oliver Kahn says: “Did everything” to get Haaland Club director in Bayern Munich, Oliver Kahn, tells Bild that the big German club did everything they could to get Erling Braut Haaland last summer. – We went as far as we could financially, says Kahn to the German newspaper. That same summer, Robert Lewandowski left the German big club. Bayern Munich were therefore looking for a goal guarantor who could replace him. But Kahn claims Haaland was too expensive. – We had to make a choice. Are we compromising our pay structure? We weren’t ready for that. It wouldn’t be very Bayern-like, he says further. Haaland landed at Manchester City, where he has since taken English football by storm. The Norwegian has 51 goals in all competitions this season. Among other things, he scored twice when Manchester City knocked Bayern Munich out of the Champions League.
