Weekend weather best in the north – next week will be abnormally cold in southern Norway – news Rogaland – Local news, TV and radio

While there are heat waves in Europe, there is not much that reminds of it in Norway. Heavy rain in July, especially in Rogaland, and sometimes temperatures below normal. No place in Norway gets top summer weather with sun and good temperatures at the weekend. But the weekend weather will be a little better than it has been this week. It may not take much, because on Wednesday, for example, no place in Western Norway had temperatures above 13.6 degrees. – It was abnormally cold on Wednesday, but if we look at the average temperature for the whole of July, we are roughly at the normal level, says meteorologist on duty at the Meteorological Institute Eldbjørg Moxsnes. – Had we been at the sea more In Haugesund, the brothers Robin and Benjamin Grindstein are resigned. The summer has not been quite as Robin and Benjamin Grindstein had imagined. They are on holiday in Haugesund with family and friends. Photo: Simon Elias Bogen / news – The weather has ruined a lot for the holiday at the cabin. We would have been out at sea a lot more if the weather had been nicer, says Benjamin Grindstein. It is possible at the weekend. In Western Norway south of Stadt there is a chance of sun, and on Sunday it will be a little warmer. Up to 20 degrees, the meteorologist promises. But individual rain showers and changing cloud cover are expected. – The summer can be saved if the weather is a little nicer this weekend. Then we can go to town and come up with something fun with our friends. And it applies to using the weekend for some holiday activity. For the next week there is not a day of staying weather. – It does not look promising for Southern Norway next week. Then it will be colder than normal, says Moxsnes. Gray weather in Bergen. It will be next week as well. Photo: Malin Askevold Helle / news Low pressure on the road In Southern Norway, it is also required to use the weekend. That means Saturday. Then it will be quite nice and around 20 degrees, although a slight breeze is expected from Kristiansand and eastwards. On Sunday, it will rain continuously. The low pressure will move towards Austlandet. On Sunday evening, the precipitation will hit there, but with scattered rain showers. Austlandet will stay on Saturday and around 15 degrees. Sunday, as mentioned, the count will arrive here. The comfort is that it will be warmer, by around 20 degrees. Best in the north The winner this weekend in terms of weather will be Northern Norway north of Bodø. There will mostly be stay and sun. Temperatures between 17 and 20 degrees. – It won’t be as hot in Northern Norway as it used to be, but they will get a bit of summer back, says Moxsnes. The best weather this weekend will be north of Bodø. Perhaps as good as in this picture from Svolvær earlier this year. Photo: Malin Nygård Solberg / news But there is almost always an exception, and it applies to the east of Finnmark. They get 10-12 degrees and a slight breeze on Saturday. The wind decreases somewhat on Sunday. In Nordland south of Bodø, in Trøndelag and central Norway, it will mostly be gray this weekend. It will perhaps be a bit sunny on Sunday, and then the temperatures will be higher. 15–20 degrees compared to Saturday’s 12–15 degrees. The consolation for them is that it will be a little better next week. In northern Norway north of Bodø, the temperatures will remain quite good. There may be some precipitation. In Western Norway, it will be the opposite. Wet in Rogaland, dry in Finnmark Western Norway won’t get a day of warm weather next week. There are no rainfall records yet, but especially in Rogaland it has been pouring down in July. At some stations, 250 per cent more rainfall than normal for the month has been measured. – Rogaland has been pressured when it comes to rainfall in July. At some of the measuring stations in Rogaland, we have already had over 300 mm of precipitation, says climate watcher at the Meteorological Institute Laila Fodnes Sidselrud. In Haugesund, the Grindstein brothers are trying to keep their spirits up. – It’s not how I would have liked it to have been. When it’s summer, I want the weather to be nice so you can swim. We can be out, but it will be a bit more dressed up, so to speak. If the weather is nice this weekend, we’ll probably go out and come up with something nice, says Robin Grindstein.
