The operating income of the company increased by 15 per cent to NOK 16 billion in the fourth quarter – the last three months of 2022. This is stated in a stock exchange announcement on Tuesday morning. Nevertheless, it is a weaker result for the grocery giant. The group’s profit before tax ended at NOK 1.7 billion, which was a decrease of 8 per cent. – In the 4th quarter, we experienced increased costs throughout the value chain. Increased inflation and rising interest rates have reduced consumers’ purchasing power in most of our markets, which in turn has put pressure on our sales volumes, says CEO Nils K. Selte. In advance, turnover of NOK 15.57 billion was expected in the fourth quarter, up from NOK 14.03 billion at the same time last year.
