What new hair-care line did Beyoncé debut in February 2024, and where can consumers purchase it? How does the Cécred hair-care line claim to cater to various hair types, especially natural-textured hair? What specific products are included in the Cécred Super Fan Bundle and what benefits do they offer for hair health? How does the review highlight the overall user experience during the wash day routine using Cécred products? What are the key pros and cons identified in the review of the Cécred hair-care line?
When Cécred debuted in February 2024, the world stopped. Beyoncé gave fans access to some of the products she uses to maintain her tresses — and now the entire line is available to buy at Ulta. The superstar’s award-winning hair-care line has positioned itself with high-performance formulas to maintain hair strength and promote length retention. And with the Restoring Hair & Edge Drops, the brand offers a full foundational collection optimal for hair health, care, and maintenance.
Cécred says it works on all hair types, so we had to try for ourselves to see if that claim held true because of the special needs that come with natural-textured hair — otherwise known as hair that is non-processed and free of chemicals and color, and in its natural state of curly, kinky, or coily. After receiving a complimentary review package from the brand, we tested the Cécred Super Fan Bundle on our thick, high porosity, 3B/3C hair type (a mix of tight and springy/S-shaped curls). Although the limited-edition set is no longer available, all of the products it contains are available to buy online with convenient in-store pickup at Ulta Beauty, including the Clarifying Shampoo & Scalp Scrub, hydrating shampoo and conditioner, Moisturizing Deep Conditioner, Reconstructing Treatment Mask, Fermented Rice & Rose Protein Ritual, Nourishing Hair Oil, Moisture Sealing Lotion, Ritual Shaking Vessel, and more.

The same attention to detail is in Cécred, which she co-founded with her mother, Tina Knowles. The outer appearance and packaging of the products are modern yet futuristic with its geographical shapes, monochromatic color scheme, and grainy texture.

The Cécred Super Fan Bundle includes nine hair care products: Clarifying Shampoo & Scalp Scrub, Hydrating Shampoo, Hydrating Conditioner, Moisturizing Deep Conditioner, Reconstructing Treatment Mask, Fermented Rice & Rose Protein Ritual, Moisture Sealing Lotion, Nourishing Hair Oil, and the newly-released Restoring Hair & Edge Drops. Cécred Hair Care Super Fan Bundle Review: Full Wash Day Routine
To test out the foundation line, we used the entire Super Fan Bundle for a full wash day routine ending in a blowout and styled with heated curls. While the bundle comes with nine hair care products (shampoos, conditioners, a protein treatment, and masks), we chose seven to put to the test, in hopes that the items would aid in our hair health journey. Going into this, we were looking for products that would help us retain length, moisture, and combat frizz and split ends with the renewing components of Cécred.
Starting off with what we consider a DIY pre-poo treatment, we detangled our hair with water and the brand’s hydrating conditioner. The conditioner was very lightweight and silky, which provided great slip for our naturally thick and wavy textured hair and allowed us to detangle with ease. Once detangling was over, it was time to wash our hair using the Clarifying Shampoo & Scalp Scrub first, then the Hydrating Shampoo. The Clarifying Shampoo, like many in the market, is meant to cleanse the hair of any product buildup and debris. But unlike any that we’ve tried before, Cécred’s formula had mini exfoliating beads that melted once they touched the scalp for a light exfoliation.
Also to our surprise, our hair was soft and didn’t feel stripped after usage. The combination of both shampoos allowed for our hair to be both squeaky clean and moisturized, ultimately prepping it for treatment before styling. Next up was the protein treatment and moisturizing deep conditioning mask. As someone who has been dealing with frizz and sometimes a lack of curl definition, we were most excited to see the results from these products.
The fermented rice and rose protein treatment was a two-part process and felt like a fun science project. Taking the Cécred vessel and filling it up with 24 ounces of water, we then poured a packet of the Fermented Rice & Rose Protein Powder and mixed until it was completely dissolved inside the bottle. From there, we poured the mixture onto our freshly washed hair and let it sit for five minutes. After rinsing, we applied the silk rinse for another five minutes before rinsing. When done, our hair felt fortified and ready for new products to penetrate the hair shaft.
The moisturizing deep conditioner aims to bring dehydrated hair back to life, and it did just that for me after the protein regimen. Once we put this product onto our hair, it melted into our strands and made them feel silky. We sat under a heated dryer cap for 25 minutes to allow the product with its African oil blend to fully saturate into our hair, and rinsed.
As part of the final steps of our Cécred hair care routine, we put the Moisture Sealing Lotion on our hair in sections before detangling, followed by the nourishing hair oil after applying heat for a polished look. I added the lotion to four sections of my hair before detangling and blow-drying with my T3 Fit blow dryer. Then I added my K18 Molecular Repair Oil for heat protection before curling with my T3 Lucea flat iron, and polished my look with drops of Cécred’s Nourishing Hair Oil. Both left our hair moisturized with a lightweight sheen.
Cécred Hair Care: Is It Worth Buying?
If you are a natural hair girlie like us and want to get salon results at home, then yes! We felt accomplished in knowing that not only did our hair look good, but we trusted that we were able to maintain and improve our natural texture with the infused protection from the products. One of the major takeaways from doing our wash day with Cécred products was how quickly we were able to get through our routine. We didn’t have a lot of breakage during the detangling process, and our hair felt very soft to the touch. After styling, we immediately noticed it had a lightweight sheen to it without being greasy or weighed down, resulting in our hair being more voluminous than in the past.

We Tested Beyoncé’s Brand on 3B/3C Hair: A Comprehensive Review
Beyoncé has long been a cultural icon, and her influence extends significantly into the beauty industry. With the launch of her brand, the focus has been on providing high-quality hair care products that cater to various hair types, including the often-underrepresented 3B and 3C hair textures. As part of our mission to explore the intersection of celebrity influence and real-world applications, we decided to test Beyoncé’s hair care line on 3B/3C hair types, and the results were illuminating.
Understanding 3B and 3C Hair Types
Before diving into the review, it’s important to understand the characteristics of 3B and 3C hair. Described in curl typology, 3B hair consists of tight, springy curls that often have a softer, looser feel and a shiny appearance. 3C hair, on the other hand, features thicker, coarser curls that are densely packed, often creating a voluminous look. Both hair types can be prone to dryness, frizz, and damage if not cared for correctly. This makes effective hydration, definition, and nourishment essential in any hair care regimen.
The Brand Overview
Beyoncé’s hair care line, simply dubbed "Beyoncé Beauty," has garnered attention for its promise of tailored solutions to the unique needs of textured hair. The line boasts a range of products including shampoo, conditioner, leave-in treatments, and styling products. Each item is designed to enhance moisture retention, promote curl definition, and support healthy hair growth.
Product Testing Methodology
To fairly assess the efficacy of Beyoncé’s hair care products on 3B and 3C hair types, we assembled a group of diverse testers, all of whom possess either 3B or 3C curls. Our methodology was straightforward: we used the products over four weeks, documenting the participants’ hair health, texture, and overall satisfaction. Everyone followed the same regimen, using the shampoo, conditioner, and styling products as directed.
The Products in Focus
Moisture Rich Shampoo: The first product tested was the moisture-rich shampoo. Its creamy formula lathered well without stripping the hair of its natural oils. Our testers noted how gentle it felt on their scalp, and several commented on the delightful fragrance that lingered after use.
Hydrating Conditioner: This product was particularly popular among our testers. It is enriched with natural oils known for their hydrating properties. Within minutes of application, participants noticed the ease with which they could detangle their curls. Many expressed that their hair felt softer and more manageable post-use.
Leave-In Treatment: This was a standout product, especially for the 3C testers who often struggle with maintaining moisture. A small amount provided excellent slip and hydration without leaving a greasy residue, leading to bouncy, defined curls.
- Curl Defining Cream: Finally, we tested the curl defining cream, crucial for styling. The texture was light yet effective at taming frizz and enhancing curl pattern without the crunch often associated with other styling products.
Results and Findings
Across the board, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Here are the highlights from our testers’ experiences:
Moisture Retention: Many participants noted an improvement in moisture retention. For those with 3C hair, this was particularly important, as their texture often drinks up moisture quickly. After two weeks, testers reported softer hair and less breakage.
Curl Definition: The curl defining cream emerged as a favorite, with testers praising its ability to maintain curl shape throughout the day without the use of heavy products. Several participants claimed their curls looked more pronounced and felt healthier.
Frizz Control: Testers with both 3B and 3C hair experienced a significant reduction in frizz, particularly in humid conditions. This was often a major pain point, and Beyoncé’s line proved effective at providing a protective barrier.
- Overall Satisfaction: The participants commented not only on the performance of the products but also on the luxurious experience of using them. The aesthetic appeal, combined with the delightful fragrances, made the routine feel more like indulgence than chore.
Conclusion: A Success for Textured Hair
After four weeks of testing, it was clear that Beyoncé’s hair care line is well-suited for individuals with 3B and 3C hair types. The combination of effective hydration, curl definition, and frizz control offers a comprehensive solution that addresses many common concerns associated with textured hair. For fans of Beyoncé and those seeking quality hair products, this brand aligns well with the needs of natural curls.
In a world where representation in beauty matters, it’s refreshing to see a celebrity brand that truly aims to cater to the diverse hair textures of its audience. Beyoncé Beauty not only celebrates her multifaceted identity but also champions the beauty of natural hair, making it a worthy addition to any curly girl’s routine.
Certainly! Here’s an overview of Beyoncé’s hair brand and its reception among individuals with 3B and 3C hair types.
Beyoncé launched her hair care line to cater to individuals with textured hair, focusing on nourishing and enhancing natural curls. The products are designed with various hair concerns in mind, including moisture retention, frizz control, and curl definition.
When testing the brand on 3B and 3C hair types, users reported mixed experiences. Many appreciated the moisturizing properties of certain products, which helped define curls without weighing them down. However, some found that not every product suited their specific needs, as individual hair porosity and density can significantly impact results.
In general, feedback indicated that the moisturizing creams and curl activators were particularly popular among users with 3B and 3C textures, while opinions on styling gels varied. The scent and packaging also received positive mentions, contributing positively to the overall experience.
Overall, Beyoncé’s brand shows promise for those with textured hair, but individual results may vary, making it essential for users to consider their unique hair characteristics when selecting products.
