Several sectors of the Population of Lima must prepare for a temporary cut of the drinking water service today, August 29. The local utility provider, SEDAPAL, has announced that at least three districts of the city will face restrictions, affecting homes, businesses, and essential services for several hours.

This announcement requires that residents in specifically identified areas and at designated times adopt contingency measures to cope with the partial interruption of drinking water supply. SEDAPAL stated that the service suspension is a necessary step to carry out reservoir cleaning, as well as maintenance and construction of joints at various strategic points.

The affected districts include Comas, San Juan de Lurigancho, and San Isidro. Maintenance works will follow a differentiated schedule throughout the day on August 29.
