The Colombian artist is accused of tax fraud for over NOK 140 million on income generated between 2012 and 2014. Shakira is said to have refused a settlement regarding the alleged tax fraud, and would rather take the case to court. Representatives for Shakira have said that she did not live in Spain until 2015, and therefore has fulfilled all her tax obligations. They also say that Shakira believes in her innocence, and to leave the case to the law. The prosecution believes she moved to Spain in 2011, but lived in the Bahamas until 2015.
