One of the ferries was knocked out by a defective thruster, the other by a fault with the electrical system, Boreal states. – It is very unfortunate and terribly regrettable. Now we just have to do what we can to get the ferry back in operation, says communications manager Jon Kristian Fadnes in Boreal. He says they are now doing what they can to solve the problem. – We have service personnel on the way, we are working hard to troubleshoot, and we are working to deploy reserve ferries, says Fadnes. It is not uncommon for a ferry to have technical difficulties, but according to Fadnes it is very unusual for two to happen at once. Thus, the connection has abruptly half capacity.
