27 June 2023 at 15:41 Reuters: Wagner boss is in place in Belarus Belarus’ president Aleksandr Lukashenko confirms on Tuesday afternoon that Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin is in place in Belarus. Reuters reports. AFP, for its part, reports that Prigozhin is expected during Tuesday. It was reported earlier on Tuesday that a plane belonging to Prigozhin landed at an airport near Minsk. Under a deal brokered by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to end the Wagner group’s weekend uprising, Prigozhin was offered exile in Belarus. There have otherwise been no confirmed sightings of the Wagner leader in recent days. He posted an audio message on social media on Monday, without saying where he was. news / NTB
