As top of the list, a unanimous nomination committee proposes Seher Aydar. Aydar was elected from the seat behind Bjørnar Moxnes in 2019. She is the party’s health policy spokesperson. Rødt currently has two representatives from Oslo in the Storting. The battle is for second place. Moxnes, who resigned as party leader after the theft of glasses at Gardermoen last summer, has made it clear that he wants to stand there. He has also been clear that he will not challenge Seher Aydar as the top of the list. TOP OF THE LIST: Seher Aydar. Photo: Vetle Mathiesen Knutsen / news Challenged Moxnes is however himself challenged by Sofia Rana. She sits on the Oslo City Council and is a spokesperson for housing and urban development. Rana is considered more activist than the more moderate Moxnes. Among other things, she is against Norwegian arms aid to Ukraine. When the nomination committee presented its preliminary recommendation on 1 October, the score was 6–3 in favor of Sofia Rana. Moxnes was placed all the way down in 25th place. 123 new members After that, the proposal has been out for consultation in the local teams. The list will be finalized at a members’ meeting in Oslo Rødt on 21 November. The commitment is great. There are now over 500 people registered for the meeting – a record, according to the party itself. Everyone who was a member of the party before 1 November has the right to vote.
