Bjørg says this the day after the police went to an address in Steinkjer following a report of a violent incident. A woman in her 30s was arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm. It was Bjørg who contacted the emergency services after the injured woman in her 70s turned up at her door. – There was blood everywhere; on her clothes and face and everywhere. The police used a dog to find the perpetrator. The neighbor called 113, and clearly stated that the police would also have to come. – After three minutes, I don’t think it was more, the police and ambulance were here, says Bjørg. news has chosen to omit the surname of the neighbor out of consideration for those involved. Has caused fear On Tuesday, the police have been on the scene and spoken to residents in the area. – I think it was fabulous to think about. They go here and look after us and talk to us. It is completely unprecedented, says the neighbour, who is still shocked after the incident on Monday. – And it’s fantastic that they came so quickly. It meant so much to her that she was allowed to speak to the police before she went to the hospital. The police have spent a lot of time in the local area the day after the incident. There is an extraordinary event that has happened. There are many elderly residents in the blocks around here, and we think this has caused a lot of fear. Therefore, they have been available for questions. – How many have already made contact? – We have spoken to a number of people, and it seems that people think it is good that we are in the local area today, says Stene. Indicates blind violence – What do you know today? – It is early in the investigation, but there are many indications that it is a matter of blind violence. That is what we are trying to survey with questioning of witnesses, offending and accused. We need to get to the bottom of this, but can’t say anything about the cause yet. – It is an unauthorized person who has entered an apartment and committed violence.
